Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric-mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive health care to patients, should possess a strong background, and demonstrate excellent communication skills to provide compassionate care to patients with medical and mental health needs.
In office required 1-2 days a week in our Navajo and Apache County locations. Balance can be done telehealth from home. AHCCCS provider ID is required. You will work with mental health and substance abuse patients. Flexible Schedule however, will need to include working around and with the treatment program of intense therapy patients. Requires active mental health nurse practitioner  license in Arizona . Requires that you are  credentialed with AHCCCS . Position includes intakes, med management, and staffing. Patients are primarily patients of multiple treatment centers located in Navajo and Apache Counties.
Working as part of the team including therapists and program team is required.
*Responsibilities*
- Conduct medical and psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with addiction and mental health disorders
- Prescribe and manage medications
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on health issues and treatment options
*Experience*
- Experience in Addiction Treatment a PLUS
- Proficiency with Kipu or similar electronic health record systems
