Job Description

Job Summary:
As a part-time welder at ChuckIt Haulers, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of waste-hauling equipment and vehicles. This position requires precision and a strong commitment to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks on various metals, primarily focusing on vehicle and container repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
• Must be knowledgeable on the use of torches in several situations.
• Ensure all equipment and vehicle modifications meet stringent safety and quality standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of welding equipment and tools.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to diagnose faults and plan effective repair strategies.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with company and OSHA safety policies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a welder, with specific skills in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of relative safety standards
• Bring and maintain personal protective gear, including face-shield, gloves, and other necessary safety equipment.
• Certification in welding from an accredited institution, not required, but is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours:

• This is a part-time position. Hours are flexible but primarily needed on weekdays and during regular business hours. Expect approximately 20-25 hours per week.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
• Opportunities for overtime and weekend work.
