Role- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Project Manager
Location-NYC, NY

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Project Manager to lead and manage the client engagement for OpenTelemetry (OTEL) adoption. This role requires a strong blend of technical SRE understanding, project delivery expertise, and client-facing communication skills to ensure successful rollout and adoption of observability solutions using OTEL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead project planning and execution for OTEL adoption across application and infrastructure environments.
• Collaborate with client SRE, DevOps, and engineering teams to assess current observability maturity, define OTEL integration roadmap and enable OTEL observability for applications.
• Manage cross-functional teams, track deliverables, and ensure alignment with client goals and timelines.
• Identify risks and drive mitigation strategies proactively.
• Coordinate with technical architects to align OTEL implementation with industry best practices (logs, metrics, traces).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, managing stakeholder expectations, status reporting, and escalation handling.
• Ensure compliance with internal and client security, governance, and SLA standards.
• Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager in SRE or DevOps domains.
• Strong understanding of observability tools and concepts: OTEL, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Zipkin, etc.
• Experience managing cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent client-facing skills, stakeholder communication, and experience working in agile delivery environments.
• Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CSM) is a plus.
• Experience with monitoring frameworks and telemetry data pipelines is highly desirable.
