Job Description
Consolidated Precision Products (CPP), an aerospace and defense manufacturing company, has an immediate need for a Sr. Assembler to join our team! This is a 1st shift position at our plant in Cudahy, CA
The assembler will perform assembly procedures on all standard and most complex complicated castings, under general supervision. This would including installing hardware, applying sealant, ordering sealant, ream bushing, ordering bushing, measuring/recording hole sizes, ink stamping, visual inspection for defects before/after paint, touch up paint when needed with provided specifications and established standards of quality and quantity.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES - Read, understand and interpret instructions and procedures, including engineering blueprints, accurately
- Perform clerical procedures in Applied Stats and Work Instructions.
- Installing hardware, applying sealant, ordering sealant, ream bushing, ordering bushing, measuring/recording hole sizes, ink stamping, visual inspection for defects before/after paint, touch up paint when needed with provided specifications and established standards of quality and quantity.
- Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
- Ability to work overtime

- Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
QUALIFICATIONS - Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: 1-2 years Experience of using micrometers, inside micrometers, calipers, and other tool shop and inspection equipment.

Schedule: - Monday-Saturday 5:00am - 1:30pm
- Overtime as needed
WORKING CONDITIONS - The job is performed under reasonably good working conditions with some exposure to noise, cold temperature, and machinery.
- Working Environment: Indoor working environment within various areas of a foundry facility
- Required PPE: PEE varies throughout the plant, check with area Supervisor to ensure proper PPE is being used
Pay range: $18.00 -21.00/hr
