Senior Technology Test Analyst - OnBase

W2 Contract

St. Petersburg, FL

East Coast Candidates (Prefer local)

Duties:

• Reviews functional requirements and uses business and technical knowledge to analyze and develop software test scripts and cases.
• Identifies and gathers appropriate test data and executes against test scripts, performs testing for application development and where appropriate, technology infrastructure projects.
• May also participate in testing smaller initiatives necessary for normal maintenance and smaller enhancements.
• Responsible for review testing done by other associates prior to sign off for moving into production.
• Scope will vary based on business needs and skill base of associate. More experienced individuals may provide daily direction to less experienced test analysts but will not typically have formal management role.
• May Review, analyze, and approve functional requirements, architectural overviews and other proposed system specifications to design low to high level testing approaches and detailed test plans. More experienced incumbents will be Subject Matter Experts on testing activities, offering guidance on industry accepted best practices and suggesting process improvements.
• This includes providing oversight and guidance on the part of Quality Management for the successful completion of Technology Projects.
• Day-to-day focus is on resolution of problems or transactions. Expertise/judgement is required to interpret level of concern/risk. May be required to weigh business risk with delivery project on time and within budget when creating testing deliverables.
• Ineffective or delayed testing could result in application interruption including trading systems.
• Responsible for ensuring that risk of change to software products is properly mitigated through testing.
• This position will have contact with multiple technology business verticals and business units; Application Developers, Business Analysts, and end users.

Skills:

• Will typically have a minimum of five (5) years related experience. SQL; testing terminology; DBMS tools; investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry. Exploratory testing.
• Experience with Workflow and Content Management Systems like Hyland OnBase software preferred.
• Experience with designing test matrix for role based testing and test coverage analysis.
• Experience with data driven testing approaches ensuring data quality
• Education: Bachelor's degree in MIS, Finance or related field or educational/experience equivalent.
