Job Description

Description The UCLA Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is seeking a part-time or full-time clinician to provide inpatient care for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) at UCLA Santa Monica Hospital. This position is responsible for the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of ICU patients, including both new admissions and existing patients. The clinician will provide care for a broad spectrum of critical conditions, including but not limited to: + Circulatory shock + Respiratory failure + Liver and renal failure + Infectious complications + Hemorrhage + Endocrinologic, hematologic/oncologic, and neurologic emergencies + Multi-organ failure + Post-operative management following surgical interventions Shifts are currently scheduled from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM and may be subject to change based on departmental needs. The schedule includes coverage during both weekdays and weekends/holidays. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative ICU environment and will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. The University of California, Los Angeles is required to provide an estimate of the salary range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Salary offers are determined based on candidate qualifications and experience. The base salary range for this position is 142,100-348,100. Qualifications + ABIM Board Certified or Board-Eligible in Critical Care Medicine or Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. + Practice C-I-CARE phone etiquette during all phone interactions + Always exercise courtesy whenever patients, family members, visitors and co-workers are present. Respond to patient and/or family questions and requests with immediacy.
