Job Description

Symmetrio is currently recruiting a Trade Show Specialist for our customer, a global leader in process safety engineering, specializing in providing innovative and reliable industrial hose safety systems that protect people, property, and the environment. As they approach their 20th anniversary, they are seeking a results-driven Trade Show Specialist to join their dynamic team. This position will report directly to the Marketing Director and play a key role in enhancing the brand presence, managing campaigns, and supporting distributor relationships. This role is responsible for event collaboration and attending, supporting and engaging with customers at trade exhibitions. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, willing to travel and passionate about safety and delivering impactful marketing campaigns. 

This is a full-time position with competitive pay, excellent benefits, PTO and 401K.

Responisbilities:

 1. Trade Show Coordination

◦ Reporting to the Marketing Director, the tradeshow specialist will plan, execute, and attend events and tradeshows.

◦ Organize trade show contract agreements and logistics. Collaborate with staff and exhibition service providers to ensure seamless event execution.

◦ Represent the company at assigned events. Assemble exhibit booth and materials to prearranged layout. At conclusion, dismantle and crate materials for shipping.

◦ Physical requirements of the job include lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds.

 2 . Social Media Campaigns

 ◦ Assist in the development of social media campaigns across multiple platforms. Participate in post conversations when appropriate. Increase followers. Analyze performance metrics to enhance future campaigns.

 3. 20th Anniversary Promotions

 ◦ Assist in implementing promotional activities for the company’s 20-year anniversary celebration.

 ◦ Coordinate a celebration in collaboration with a convention sponsorship event.

 4. Technical Marketing Communication

◦ Assist with the development of marketing materials (i.e. product descriptions, case studies, presentations, and product demonstration videos) tailored to an engineering audience.

 5. Market research and analysis:

◦ Keep current on customer needs and industry news.

 6. Distributor Relationship Building

◦ Communicate effectively with distributors to strengthen partnerships. Coordinate marketing material shipments when needed.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

• 2 years of marketing experience, preferably in a technical or engineering industry.

• Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to convey technical functions effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in utilizing social media for business promotions and analyzing metrics.

• Experience managing trade show exhibiting requirements or event planning.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Willing to travel 10% of the time.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in process safety or industrial equipment marketing.

• Efficient at boosting social media interactions.

• Some understanding of digital design tool terminology is a plus.
