Job Description:

• Operations Department
• Position: Truck Driver
• Reports to: Fleet Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle and load for each trip.
• Arrive at pick up/drop off site on time.
• Remain in contact with Fleet Manager while on the road.
• Represent Eden Foods to our customers and the public in a courteous professional manner at all times.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance during performance of duties.
• Monitor vehicle performance on continuous basis and report deviations to maintenance.
• Monitor vehicle permits and support supplies on continuous basis.
• Complete required paperwork thoroughly and turn in on time.
• Assist with updating routes and procedures as needed.
• Participate in quarterly driver safety meetings.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary working environment.
• Maintain good relations with shipping companies, suppliers, and customers.
• Assist in maintenance and development of effective back-haul program.
• Understand and adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures.
• Perform duties in a professional efficient manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• An Interstate (Class A) Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement or will obtain tanker endorsement with in 120 calendar days of date of hire.
• A minimum of 3 months experience working in a full-time Class A Tractor/Trailer driving position in the previous 2 years.
• No more than two (2) moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last five (5) years.
• No DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol/drugs convictions within the last ten (10) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents resulting in a fatality or catastrophic injury in driving history. (commercial motor vehicle)
• Communication skills and attention to detail.
