Job Description Union Receiver About The Role As a Receiver, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of incoming products while directing them to their appropriate destinations. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and Shift Supervisors to maintain equipment, follow quality control standards, and support overall warehouse operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities - Inspect incoming products for quality and report any damage to the Warehouse Manager or Shift Supervisor.
- Prepare and forward all required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Direct received products to their appropriate locations within the facility.
- Maintain and perform routine upkeep on warehouse equipment; report any repair needs or supply shortages.
- Follow instructions from the Warehouse Manager, Shift Supervisor, and Warehouse Leads, while demonstrating problem-solving abilities and initiative.
- Interact courteously and professionally with employees and customers.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and attendance requirements.
- Take the initiative to assist in other areas when your assigned area is slow.
- Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications - A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Operational and mechanical aptitude, with experience in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and picking equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with computers and basic operational tools.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward identifying and addressing issues.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and normal (or correctable) vision.
The pay range for this position starts at $20.78/hr.; however, base salary offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
