smartdept. is searching for a UX Designer for a financial services client located in Riverwoods, IL . The ideal candidate will come with 7+ years of experience. This is a full-time, fully remote, 6-month contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension . Compensation for this position is expected to be $64-$83/hour depending on experience level and fit.
This person will be responsible for leading product design across websites and apps that deliver on business strategies and delight customers. As the lead designer of a cross-functional product family this person will design experiences that are easy to use, accessible and exhibit strong visual design. They will use qualitative and quantitative data to help understand problems and define solutions.
What You’ll Do:
• Develop design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and other UX/UI design deliverables in Figma and other tools
• Understand the target users’ needs, motivations, and behaviors as it relates to a specific project or area
• Ensure cohesive user experiences throughout customers journeys
• Partner with key stakeholders including business owners, product owners, technology, legal, and research to design best in class product design experiences across the digital channels
• Partner with Experience Design team to identify key deliverables and experiences and prioritizes with product team
• Partner with frontend and backend engineers to translate design into code
