Ferguson is seeking to hire a Virtual Design & Construction Modeler / CAD Technician.

This is an in-office role that will support the Commercial Virtual Design & Construction team. Our ideal candidate would be in the Eastern or Central time zone, preferably within commuting distance of locations in Riviera Beach, FL, Newport News, VA or Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Model all trade layout per contract documents.
• Works closely with VDC Specialist to resolve clashes.
• Participates in coordination meetings.
• Follows BIM processes and standards.
• Produces shop drawings & other drafting deliverables.
• Follows the BIM Execution Plan and internal coordination process.
• Building/Manipulating Revit Families.
• Tracking any VDC issues throughout the coordination process.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years or more of related work experience required.
• Experience with the Autodesk Construction Cloud (AutoCAD, Revit, Glue, Navisworks Manage, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Construction practices and understanding of Building Codes for Mechanical and Plumbing/Piping Systems.
