Job Posting: Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk - Auto Dealership Location: Sullivan Honda, Torrington, CT Job Type: Full-time Salary: $18-23 per hour Job Description: We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk to join our team at Sullivan Honda. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts in our dealership. Responsibilities: * Accounts Payable: * Process and verify vendor invoices for goods and services received. * Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices according to agreed terms. * Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies. * Maintain records of all accounts payable transactions. * Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes. * Accounts Receivable: * Process customer payments, including cash, checks, credit cards, and bank transfers. * Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts. * Issue customer statements and work with customers to resolve payment issues. * Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions. * Assist in preparing aging reports and assist with collections as needed. * General Duties:

• Prepare the daily deposit (via remote deposit), reconcile credit card transactions and post to DMS

Support the accounting team with other clerical tasks, as needed. * Assist with financial audits as required. * Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies regarding financial transactions. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required. * Previous experience in accounts payable and receivable (preferably in an auto dealership or similar industry). * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. * Experience with dealership management software (e.g., Automate, CDK Global, Reynolds & Reynolds) is a plus. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent organizational and time management skills. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
