Well-established and busy Construction Management and General Contracting Company seeking an experienced Director of Construction with strengths in Retail Construction Projects to join our winning team in the Long Island, NY area.

• Lead multiple projects simultaneously, from planning through closeout, with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet client expectations and organizational goals.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, resolving any issues or concerns that arise.
• Proactively identify opportunities for additional services and develop strategies for future projects.
• Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure projects are delivered within budget and identify cost-saving opportunities where possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years in commercial retail project management or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects, ideally in commercial or retail sectors.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and contract management.

This is a direct-hire, long term career opportunity offering room for growth and advancement, the starting base pay range is $120K-$180K (doe) plus benefits and incentives.
