Job Description

We are seeking a creative and passionate Staging Director to oversee all aspects of the execution of staging jobs. The Staging Director leads the design function from conceptual development to liaising with clients and packaging and executing the design. The Staging Director is a leadership position that requires equal parts management and interior design capabilities. The Staging Director is expected to be engaged in all aspects of daily staging design and installation. This position may be either an employee position or Independent Contractor depending on the needs of the business. This position must be held by an experienced interior designer or stager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manages all phases of design projects including project needs, available resources, creating design concepts and package deployment.
Track client feedback and design issues to edit and improve design packages
Maintain detailed knowledge of furniture inventory
Stay on top of national and local interior design and decorating trends
Coordinates with Design Assistant to manage daily staging schedule and staging sales orders
Collaborates with sales and staging team to determine design preferences, furniture, art and accents to be installed.
Hires and trains staging staff
Manages staging installation, liaising with clients, stagers and other staff as needed.
Interprets and translates customer needs into a plan of action
Oversees the development and installation of premium stagings, commercial design projects and model home design, occasionally producing and editing design independently.
Coordinates, executes and oversees junior design staff.
Design and select seasonal staging dcor packages.
Research and decide on materials and products sourcing
Produce sample and mood products as needed
Supervise progress of design projects
Leads and conducts staging training classes for internal and external groups
Works with Inventory Manager to manage furniture lifecycles
Supports BackStage Store set-up as needed
Coordinate with clients on edit requests . Oversee all edits and property revisions.

Position Requirements
Must be detail oriented and able to work under pressure
Ability to manage a diverse team
Ability to develop and execute multiple creative projects a once
Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and/or new constructions)
Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs
Portfolio of previous works
Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
Communication and presentation skills
Project management skills
BS degree in Interior Design or associates in interior design or art preferred
Ability to design in many different styles, as needed
Highly knowledgeable regarding current trends and fashions
Keen awareness of space and room flow
Ability to envision the finished project and help clients do the same
