Here's the job:

**We are in the process of opening a new facility, with operations expected to begin in July. As part of the preparation for this role, the selected candidate will be required to travel outside of Texas for training. The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership to manage staff, optimize operations, maintain equipment, and drive continuous improvement to meet company objectives. The Plant Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that enhance productivity, minimize waste, and align with company goals. Additionally, this role requires close collaboration with various departments, including quality assurance, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations and supply chain efficiency. The Plant Manager will also play a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture by promoting employee engagement, enforcing company policies, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards. A successful candidate will be able to balance short-term operational needs with long-term business objectives, ensuring that the facility remains competitive and adaptive to industry changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct production staff training and coaching to align with manufacturing requirements.
  • Create and uphold production schedules to guarantee punctual output.
  • Supervise and enhance manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage equipment upkeep and organize necessary repairs.
  • Ensure the logistics of finished products, guaranteeing shipment to the end-user.
  • Implement safety protocols and maintain a secure work environment.
  • Scrutinize production data to pinpoint areas for enhancement and waste reduction.
  • Collaborate in the hiring, training, and performance evaluation processes.
  • Uphold compliance with CGMPs, FDA regulations, and industry standards.
  • Partake in regulatory audits.
  • Cultivate an innovative environment by collaborating with research and development.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the manufacturing facility.
  • Engage in inventory discussions and disposal concerning manufacturing and the facility.
  • Maintain clear communication with teams and management to synchronize production with company objectives.
  • Authorize verifications, logs, and production documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field preferred.
  • 3 years experience as a Plant Manager or related position
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with business management principles, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in MAC computer systems and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
