About the Role

TAAF is excited to offer an internship program that will provide participants with challenging, meaningful, and real-world experience. Participants will support departments on a variety of high-stakes projects related to administrative support, process development and improvement, and project management. In addition to having a dedicated mentor, participants will receive access to leadership and professional growth activities to gain valuable career experience in a fast paced startup environment focused on social change. 

The Partnerships Intern will assist with research, support the Events team, and help organize information and data related to both ongoing and newly launched initiatives of the Partnerships Team. At the end of the summer, the intern will prepare and present a deck of findings to the Partnerships team and the broader TAAF organization.

Responsibilities

  • Sponsorship & Fundraising 
    • Assist in preparation of one-pagers, decks, and other fundraising collateral
    • Assist in research and scouting of new partnership opportunities
  • Partnership Events
    • Assist in drafting language & crafting messaging for fundraising/events-related communications 
    • Research speakers and programmatic topics relevant to the event
    • Provide administrative and operational support such as preparing briefing documents, managing guest registration, and other tasks as needed
  • General Partnership Support
    • Attend team meetings, provide meeting support, and assist with follow-up (e.g. prepare memos and notes)
    • Assist in managing Partnerships email accounts and forwarding along relevant opportunities to key stakeholders
    • Assist with the drafting of the Partnerships newsletter
    • Assist with research and corporate partner briefings

Requirements

Job Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited technical/vocational program, college or university in the United States 
  • Candidates with a major in Business Administration, Economics, and/or Public Policy are strongly encouraged to apply

Benefits

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly rate is $16.00 unless otherwise determined by any applicable city, county and state regulations regarding minimum wage

Location

  • New York City and San Francisco-based staff work in the office 2 days per week, and the other days remotely
