Seneca Foods is one of the most highly integrated fruit and vegetable processing companies in the US. We manage many—and in some cases all—aspects of production. At Seneca, we produce seeds, harvest crops, manufacture our own containers and provide a wide range of nutritious fruit and vegetable products. Water Treatment/Digestor Operator. Seneca Foods in Montgomery, MN is currently seeking a Water Treatment/Digestor Operator to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintenance of related Digester/Water Treatment equipment.
• Day/night operations at the Digester and/or on Water Treatment
• Day/night operations on wastewater spray fields. (June-Nov)
• Day/night silage operations.
• Operating equipment as needed. (Tractors, Payloader, Excavators)
• Daily reports and assist in preparing annual reports.
• Maintain cost control over equipment for budget purposes.
• Ensure that GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations are being followed and enforced.
• Maintenance in other areas of the facility when needed.
• Employee relations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness and ability to work and function in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good mechanical repair and trouble-shooting skills.
• Two-year degree and/or equivalent experience working with Wastewater/Anaerobic Digesters preferred.
• Ability to obtain Special Boilers License, Type 4 and Type 5 Certificate.

Starting wage range based on skills, abilities and experience from $28.00 to $32.00 per hour.
